Honest and Helpful Company Looking to Expand Solar

When we decided to switch to solar, I found Atmos early on through EnergySage. When we talked to installers, the numbers just weren't coming out right. When I stepped back and looked, all of the lenders were charging 30% for fees, and still charging 6-8% for interest. I went back and looked at the numbers with Atmos, and they were charging 8% interest with 0 fees. We made a point of refusing to work with anyone installing solar that wouldn't finance with Atmos, and it made the numbers work. Since then, Atmos has been easy to work with. We didn't get our entire tax credit back the first year (we did a pretty big install), but didn't pay any fines for not paying that into our loan, and when we paid the difference, we saw our payments go right to about where we expected, which worked out to about what we had been paying for electricity.

Horrivble company, difficult to work with

Atmos is not reliable and difficult to work with. I was told that Atmos would notify us when the first payment on our loan for solar panels was due. The first notification I received was that I was late for our first payment. I called and was told there was a problem with their notification program. I quickly made a payment, but I could not set up automatic payments until the first payment cleared, which took several days. After that delay, I set up automatic payments. The proportion of each payment that went to principal and interest varied greatly and was inconsistent with any amortization schedule I have ever seen. After more than a year (but less than the period required for tax credits to be applied), the principal owed actually grew by 862.25 despite regular monthly payments being made. I decided to pay off the loan. I went through the Atmos website to make the payment and paid off what Atmos stated was the payoff amount. But paying off a loan through Atmos takes 3 days to settle! And during those three days, further interest accrues! In other words, given the limitations of Atmos' system, you can never pay off your loan!

Excellent partner

I got introduced to Atmos when my solar installer started working with them around the time I signed my installer’s contract. Atmos offered much lower rates than the alternative financing options and they’ve been very easy to work with going forward. I would highly recommend them to anyone

Great rates and responsive service!

I first learned about Atmos on Energy Sage and reached out to them because I liked their rates and loan terms, and they seemed like a good company to work with. I was not disappointed! Their pre-approval process was very easy and they were very responsive to my questions and transparent every step of the way. Though my preferred installer had not worked with them before, they were able to connect quickly and finalize my loan smoothly. (My installer was also impressed and thanked me for connecting them.) Highly recommend!!
